I am head over heels for these Rose Gold brushes* from So Eco. “So Eco is a range of ‘Eco-friendly’ makeup brushes with the unique emphasis on components being 100% responsibly and ethically sourced.” So Eco brushes are cruelty free, vegan and hand cut and trimmed. The handles are made from sustainably sourced bamboo which means they’re lightweight and easy to use. Even the packaging the brushes come in are biodegradable and printed using plant friendly vegetable inks!
They kindly sent me their Face Brush Kit* to play around with. The kit comes with an angled contour brush, a tapered blending brush, a round foundation brush and a lip brush. You also get a natural organic cotton travel case which doubles as a brush stand too which is very handy!
The brushes bamboo handles have ‘precision comfort grips’ which mean they’re super comfortable to use!
Angled Contour Brush
This is my favourite brush from the set. It’s angled perfectly and is so soft and not too dense meaning it creates a gorgeous, subtle, blendable contour. I’ve been using it with my Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow and it applies the product beautifully. It’s also great at buffing out any mistakes (lets be serious, there’s always times when you put far too much contour powder on!) This brush has definitely become my go to contour brush.
Tapered Blending Brush
I’ve been using this as a blush brush. It picks up product very well so if you want a subtle blush, be careful! It’s incredibly soft (something that I love as I cannot stand a scratchy blush brush!) and blends product perfectly! It’s not too large either so it gets product right on the apple of your cheek.
Round Foundation Brush
Honestly, I dont use a brush to apply foundation as I prefer the look and application from a Beauty Blender. I’ve been loving this brush to set my undereye concealer and also to highlight though so this is a great multitasking brush! I really like the rounded shape, it’s perfect for fitting the under eye area and like the others this brush is really soft and not too dense.
This is such a lovely lip brush, it’s the perfect size for shaping your Cupid’s bow. I’ve also been using it to go around the outer line of my lips with concealer to prevent lipsticks ‘bleeding’ and it’s worked very well for that. The precision grips make this brush very comfortable to hold and the bamboo being so light makes this really easy to use.
I love all the brushes in this set, not only are they really pretty but they’re incredibly soft. The angled contour brush has definitely become a firm favourite! You can buy this set from Very for £18.99 along with lots of other So Eco brushes. So Eco brushes can also be bought on Amazon or at Sainsbury’s or Tesco. I’ve even seen So Eco brushes in TK Maxx before!
These brushes are so lovely, I’ve got my eye on the rose gold stipple brush to try next! Have you used So Eco brushes before?
